Ahhhh, Saturday morning! This morning, L and I decided to take his new bike out for a spin. Let me tell you, the view for the back of a motorcycle was quite different. We enjoyed not having to navigate the car and got to the Ferry in record time. We have been to the Island Garden City of Samal several ties now, but this was different.
I thought it would be fun to bring my camera along to document this new adventure. Even braved a selfie.
Many photos are a bit out of focus and many more were of road, guardrail or random sky. A bit of the charm, I think. I would just point an click and this is what I got……. you will see the view was quite different and at some points quite cock eyed. It was awesome to feel the freedom of the open road and explore a place in a new way. So nice to get away from the busyness of the city. A breath of fresh air…….lots of them!
And then back to the city. I do have to say, as much as I do not like sitting in traffic in my car, I did not enjoy sitting in construction traffic on the way home on a bike. HOT. Crowded. A bit nerve wracking. We only fell in one ditch and I think my toe may keep it’s nail? Totally different perspective.
I am learning to be thankful for different views as well as circumstances, good and bad . I need to remember to look for the bright side, the good and not to focus on the negatives, learning lots of patience. Such a great reminder…..I am learning some wonderful simple truths. This scripture KEEPS coming up, like for about 2 months now! Thessalonians 5:16-18…….
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I am so thankful for today and something new. We actually stumbled onto a local artist and picked up a couple of treasures…….an unexpected surprise.
Now that is something that is SIMPLY Wonderful!
